Ballet Beautiful provides every princes with an opportunity to express herself in dance.  We use fairy tales and our imagination to meet the characters.  In joy, hard work is no trouble at all. In this joy we focus on Ballet technique and posture.  In every story we work hard on tippy toes, rounded arms, finger technique, positions of the feet and arms, core stability, co-ordination, balance etc. 

 

 With wholesome development in mind, our classes are designed to stimulate Cognitive-, motor- and effective development combined with Proprioception skill development, musical sense, listening skills, confidence and sociability.

Ballet Beautiful uses a fusion of the Dance Curriculum provided by Living Dance International (LDI) & Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Our Primary focus is on the Curriculum of Living Dance International with RAD being supplementary  

 

We believe in creating an environment where dancers are able to express themselves emotionally, physically and experience tremendous amounts of joy

Props such as scarves, hula hoops, fans, ribbons, puppets, tiara’s, fairy dust etc are also included to make classes more interesting

Classes and Fees

 

Classes:

​

Classes are presented during school terms as provided by the Department of Education.

A term consists of at least 8 – 10 Ballet classes.

 

Classes are presented in 4 levels:

​

3 year olds - DTYOT 1  = Dance To Your Own Tune 1 (Living Dance & RAD)

4 year olds - DTYOT 2 = Dance To Your Own Tune 2 (Living Dance & RAD)

5 year olds -  TT1          = Tiny Tots 1 (Living Dance & RAD)

6 Year olds – Pre-Primary (Living Dance)

Ballet Dance Clothes:

 

Please dress your Ballerina on the day of her Ballet class as follow:

· A dress / skirt / Tutu with tights or ski pants.

· Short sleeve T-shirt or top

· Ballet shoes / Pumps / bare foot

• Option 1:  Fee per Term:                           (4 Terms per year:  Jan, April, Jul, Oct – Payable the first month of each Term)
  Option 2:  Fee per Month:                        (Payable from February to November  - Pay in advance, eg. Pay 1 February for February                                                                                      Month.)

• Demo Exam fee:                                       R 400 (Payable before 1 September 2021)  Exam will be held in November

​ What happens during a Demonstration Exam?

 

The Demo Exam serves a multi-purpose function.  Its aim is to provide an environment where little ballerinas are able to perform on stage in front of their parents whilst cultivating an examination mentality.  Ballet Beautiful aims to emphasize every detail in the preparation for the exam.  This entails costumes, hair accessories and décor.  At Ballet Beautiful we believe that hard work is to be rewarded.  The end result that parents see on stage is a reflection of the curriculum that we teach.  The mastery of this curriculum is a high achievement and we reward this achievement by giving each dancer a certificate and medal at the end of their examination.
